Best things to do in a long-weekend in Miami

Miami is the perfect spot for a chill long-weekend getaway. You can enjoy sparkling sandy beaches, arts, culture and have fantastic gourmet experiences at restaurants from recognized chefs that come from all over the world bringing a large diversity of flavors.

DAY ONE: AIR TOUR OVER MIAMI – ART DECO

Before or upon arriving in Miami, make a reservation for a flight tour with Magic Air Tours where you will discover spectacular views of paradisiac spots around the Magic City during the day or over an astonishing sunset. Then go venturing on an Art Deco walk (or ride a bike), taking in the architectural style from 1930s. The most traditional Deco spots are found along Ocean Drive, from Fifth to 15th streets, which also happens to be the beach’s most touristy area.

DAY TWO: WYNWOOD AND DESIGN DISTRICT – MODERN ART AND SHOPPING

If you enjoy modern art, then Wynwood Art District is one of the perfect areas for total immersion into Miami’s mesmerizing unique art scene. Start at the Wynwood Walls, a sort of a walkable outdoor museum, where entire buildings have replaced the usual gallery canvas. Pop into the adjacent art galleries and make sure you don’t miss the Rubell Family Collection.

DAY THREE: PARADISIAC BEACH – DOWNTOWN

Spend your final day enjoying the white sandy beaches in Miami, but don’t lose the opportunity to explore Miami’s burgeoning downtown area. Walk along Biscayne Boulevard to get a glimpse at some of the hypermodern skyscrapers and walk around the Brickell City Centre, Miami’s new hot spot.

If you have kids, go to the Museum Park, home to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science.
